Butterflies

Once our babies are mobile and confident enough they use our large Butterflies playroom for further stimulation and development.

Our Butterflies are busy learning new skills and discovering new experiences about the world around them. We ensure that all opportunities for exploration, learning and development are taken to support and challenge our children to progress in all areas.

Butterflies are introduced to circle time when they start to learn about colours, shapes and numbers through songs and rhymes. They are noticing others around them and we encourage their social development through circle time, by eating together at meal and snack times, learning to share toys and learning new words.

They have a variety of toys and activities to keep them engaged and challenged throughout the day. They can choose to play in the home corner, have some quiet time in the cosy story area, be energetic with the physical toys, use their imagination with the construction toys, explore the messy and tactile play zone or express themselves with the arts and crafts.

Like our babies, the Butterflies have constant access to the under 2s large outside play areas.

When they are feeling sleepy there is a quiet room for resting.
